Sneak Gig from ex-Urge Overkill's Nash Kato at the Plough Print E-mail
Thursday, 07 February 2008

Fri. Feb. 8

Springa, the former singer with the punk band SS Decontrol, is making a rock opera DVD, concerning what happened to him after a major accident back in 2004. That's another story. But the story here is that his Chicago pal Nash Kato, the main singer-songwriter-guitarist for Urge Overkill - which last toured in 2004 - is playing a "sneak" gig at the Plough & Stars tonight, Friday. Feb. 8 around 9:30. He'll be playing the UO stuff you know - including the Neil Diamond hit "Girl You'll Be a Woman Now" (featured in "Pulp Fiction") - with the Plough house band, and should hit the stage around 9:30. Kato is in town primarily to play a role in Springa's movie, but, evidently, figured why not this? Why not indeed? M.G. Lederman is also on the bill. Cover: $5.
