Burlesque and Cabaret: The Modern Circus Comes to T.T.'s Print E-mail
Thursday, 14 February 2008

Thurs. Feb. 14

Of course, you could go out for a nice romantic dinner. It's Valentine's Day. But Boston Babydolls MC, Ol' Scratch, is offering a different kind of V-Day option Thursday Feb. 14 at T.T. the Bear's Place. He's calling it "A Big Top Full of Romance," or "Carnaval d'Amour," and what that translates to is "a modern blending of burlesque, carnival, circus and cabaret." These sorts of shows are becoming increasingly popular. This night, which starts at 9 and costs $15 at the door ($10 in advance) features the Babydolls - including Miss Mina, Betty Blaize and Honey Do (possibly not their real names) and cirucs and variety acts that include Dominuqe Immora (also a Babydoll), stiltwalker Michelle Jeffalone, object manipulator (uh, magician?) Baz and juggler Johnny Cakes. Ol' Scratch will host the proceedings and no doubt swallow a sword or two in the process.
