The Cambodian sextet, now based in L.A., is fronted by chanteuse Ch'hom Nimol (arrested and jailed for 22 nights in a post 9/11 Orange alert frenzy), is both exotic and accessible. Dengue Fever is not hard-edged; they're more melodic, fluid, sometime eerie. Matt Dillon heard them and brought them in to play music for "City of Ghosts."
