The Return of Dengue Fever, a good thing Print E-mail
Wednesday, 09 July 2008

The Cambodian sextet, now based in L.A., is fronted by chanteuse Ch'hom Nimol (arrested and jailed for 22 nights in a post 9/11 Orange alert frenzy), is both exotic and accessible. Dengue Fever is not hard-edged; they're more melodic, fluid, sometime eerie. Matt Dillon heard them and brought them in to play music for "City of Ghosts." Chances of Dengue Fever playing Dead Kennedys hardcore punk classic  "Holiday in Cambodia"? Slim. But you never know. Tickets: $25 (including food). Music starts at 7:30. Tickets: $25.
