The Cello Chix Rock with Strings and Things Print E-mail
Thursday, 08 May 2008

These gals have solid classical cred, too - all play with various local orchestras - and they'vCello Chixe got more than a few of those songs in the repertoire, so, you know, they might play songs written before Led Zeppelin was hatched. The Cello Chix - cellists Susanna Porte and Becca Thornblade and drummer Nancy Delaney - are what you want to hear when you want to hear some of your classic rock tunes done with some elegance, some panache, and some humor. On  they should be in "rock" mode as they're continuing to celebrate the release of their debut CD, "Under the Covers," with a gig at the Sally O'Brien's. It's a free show and it gets underway at 9 with Shay Rudolph opening.
