Fri. March 7 Last call! Kelly Davidson is a local photog who's shot some of the best for more than a decade: Elvis, Iggy, the Dresden Dolls (in photo) Mission of Burma and many m ore. She specializes in taking family shots of rockers with their kids and had an exhibit in Jamaica Plain's Art Market a while back. She also likes shooting drag queens, of which she notes, they "are more male and female than I will ever be." She's shot the A.R.T.'s "Island of Slaves" and at the men's room at Machine. "My camera allows me access to places and experiences of events that I would not normally have," Davidson says. "For example, the men's room at Machine, when it's being used as the dressing room for a Gold Dust Orphan's theatre piece. I love watching the process of queen to drag queen, capturing the transformation." And that's what her exhibit at the Paradise Lounge Gallery is all about. It's called "Drag Me Out, Drag Me In." And the photos will go down after tonight, Friday March 7. Which means, if you missed the opening Davidson was at Jan. 17, you should check out the Lounge's lineup at www.thedise.com, pick a cool band and take in both photos and music somewhere down the line. 969 Commonwealth Ave., 617-562-8814 www.thedise.com
