Friday and Saturday, Sept. 15 & 16 Ok, you know him as the voice of Foxwoods in those - let's be honest - annoying commercials that pepper the Red Sox games you used to watch when they mattered. But John Pizzarelli is much more than that - he's a jazz singer who does an homage to a man he once opened for (1990) Frank Sinatra. The show, at 8 and 10 p.m., at Scullers, is called "Dear Mr. Sinatra." (Trivia: John's father, Bucky Pizzarelli, played guitar on many of Ol' Blue Eyes recordings.) Says John, of opening for Frank: "Frank would appear in the wings during our final number, swinging and clapping and smiling. He would come onstage and cheer for us. It was an honor to play with him, and we were thrilled he enjoyed our music.'' Pizzarelli - do you think his nickname had "pizza" in it as a kid? - and company return the favor this weekend. Tickets: $30. 400 Soldiers Field Rd., 617-562-4111 scullersjazz.com
