                                                                                                    Friday Sept. 29

Are you lonely tonight? Elvis once asked that in song. You will not be lonely if you attend a party sponsored by the travel book company Lonely Planet at the Old South Meeting House Sept. 29 from 7-10 p.m. See, it's "National Passport Month'' - you knew that, right? - and we're told only 1/4 of Americans are such stay-at-homes they don't even have passports. Lonely Planet and the PBS show "Roadtrip Nation" would like to encourage you to travel abroad by throwing this free party where you'll meet RN co-founders, watch footage from the upcoming season of RN, get a tour of the RN RV and a goodie bag. So, you won't actually see the world, but you'll see others seeing the world and that may inspire you to actually see the world for yourself. Assuming the ice caps don't melt tomorrow ... Then all bets are off.
