Dave Tree's Double Duty Saturday Night Print E-mail
Saturday, 15 December 2007

Sat. Dec 15

We've never said Dave Tree - the former leader of the lefty hard rock band Tree - isn't a hard worker. He makes art, he plays music, he's remained a welcome face on the Boston rock scene for years. On Saturday Dec. 15, he's playing music twice, first with Blow Your Face Out, his J. Geils Band cover act at Inman Square's Abbey Lounge (they're on at 9:30 p.m.) followed by Slim Jim and the Mad Cows, and Sad Wings of Destiny. Cover is $8. Then, Tree schleps over to O'Brien's Pub in Allston - through the snow it seems if the forecast is right - to headline with his smart metal band, SuperPower, with DeadLikeDeath (it's their CD release party) along with the Easter Bloodhounds and Wrath of Man. Show starts at 9, cover $8. (Oh, what's the graphic to your right? That's one of Tree's art works, called "Baby Bomber.")
