T Max: Give Peace a Chance for a Change Print E-mail
Saturday, 22 December 2007

Sat.  Dec. 22

T Max, guitarist and publisher of The Noise, has been into this anti-Iraq war thing for a while now. I'm guessing while Senator Clinton was voting to go to war - oh, my bad, she's saying now - T was wondering why we were invading the wrong country in the first place. In 2006, T (in photo) released the "End War Now," single with a ton of help from notable musician-friends. It hit the upper echelon of Neil Young's anti-war song web chart. It's not Billboard, but it's a good thing. T now has a project called The Peace Chor-us, and says, "This is about three months old, although I've been writing material for last year. It started out as a rock band and then made it into more of a gospel choir. The music is real stripped-down, all about vocals." Who's on board? T, Shawn Marquis on minimal drums, Susanna Porte on cello, and chorus members Michael Bloom, Diana Casado, Mick Maldonado, Ruby Bird, Billy Mancini, Mr. Curt, Eleanor Ramsay, John Hess, Emily Grogan, and Chris Mascara. The band plays the Cantab Lounge on Saturday Dec. 22. with the Andrea Gillis Band, the Russians and the Emily Grogan Band.) It's all part of the Noise Christmas Party - T Max is the longtime Noise publisher. They'll likely play everything from the CD "Why Do We Go To War?" It's also part of Mickey Bliss's "Club Bohemia" series. Tickets: TBA. Should start around 9.
