When you think of fine dining you think of ... Herb Chambers Lexus? Probably not. But Herb's not cooking the food. Chefs from Heritage, Davio's, Avila, Nebo, Latitudes and many more are doing that part. The other part: Comedy by the tireless Lenny Clarke (in photo), a man who must lead the Boston comics league in benefits. Oh yes, we should mention this event - Saturday Nov.17 from 7-11 - is a benefit for Family Service of Greater Boston. It's also put on by ace party-thrower Bryan Rafanelli and hosted by T.V. Diner's Billy Costa (with Clarke). The formal name of this thing is T.V. Diner Platinum Plate Gala and it's a $100 a plate, but you'll be served Hammer and Sickle vodka - another new vodka on the market! imagine! - and you'll be well fed and entertained. There's also a live acution that benefits Community Servings. It's not a black tie affair, but it is a Saturday night out, and party clothing is suggested.
