The Boink Babes Do Burlesque - Again and Again Print E-mail
Sunday, 07 October 2007

 Sun. Oct. 7

Burlesque is the new black, of course. At least in Boston, where this post-modern throwback style of erotica has caught on in theaters and clubs. There's at least a half-dozen troupes out there trying to lure you, dear reader, with their siren-like charms. And you don't have to be a man. These burlesque shows tend to have all-gender appeal. Sugar Dish, of the Babes in Boinkland (cartoon of the troupe to your right). tells us the Babes strut their stuff (and take off a good deal of it)  On Sunday, Oct. 7, the Babes travel to the Milky Way in JP, where we first saw them perform and where we saw them. We were not disappointed - especially by a frustrated worker/boss routine that resolves as only it can - them shedding clothes and finding solace in each others arms. The cover charge is $7 and the entertainment should start around 10 p.m. Both gigs are 21-plus, natch.
