 Like beer? Sure you do. Especially this month where every bar and restaurant you can shake a stick at has an "Octoberfest" promotion going on. One of our favorite restaurants - but one where we don't think we've ever had a beer - is UpStairs on the Square, where a martini usually precedes a steak. But on Sunday Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. in the Zebra Room, Mary-Catherine Deibel and Deborah Hughes are offering an "Out of Your Gourd Beer Dinner" for $49. Four courses, five beers from the Offshore Ale Company from Martha's Vineyard. Your food involves gourmet cheese puffs, fried clams and celery root slaw, handcut spaghetti & meatballls, a trio of artisanal cheeses and churros and dulce de Leche. Be sure to drink and eat responsibly.
