Flaming Harpist by the Sea Print E-mail
Friday, 09 November 2007

Fri. Nov. 9

First off, any reason to get to Newburyport is a good reason. We beached it on Plum Island all and walked and dined all over the downtown area. It's kind of an ideal New England seaside sort of town. So, on Friday Nov. 9 we'll give you a very good reason to head the Market Square - Deborah Henson-Conant, fiery, bluesy electric harpist is taking her one-woman show to the Firehouse Center for the Arts. It's her annual birthday bash. Which one? Come on, we're not that investigative a journalist! Henson-Conant is celebrating a year of first - first Grammy nomination, a first prize in an international songwriting competition and the PBS airing of her special, "Invention & Alchemy." She should be in high spirit and put you in the same frame. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets: $28. Oh,, and is it exactly her birthday? Not quite. November 11 is her birthday and she says, you "must come to the show to find out!"
