Sun. Sept. 30

Gil Grissom - the lead CSI on "CSI" - tells us "The dead can't speak for themselves," and assuredly they can't. But they do have Anthony Sammarco to do so. At least in Boston, at least at Forest Hills Cemetary Sunday Sept. 30. Sammarco, historian and author of more than 50 books, will lead folks on a two-hourwalking tour of the lovely green spot, sharing stories about some of the famous people who lie beneath the ground. You'll hear about architects and society women and you'll marvel at some of the architectural delights that were built there. (Truly, Forest Hills was built during the golden days of burial grounds. They don't make 'em like this anymore. It's a great place to be dead, even better for the living as there's so much to see and contemplate.) Wear walking shoes, bring bottled water. Admission: $9. Begins at 2 p.m.
