Massing for Marijuana (Law Reform) and Making Music Print E-mail
Saturday, 15 September 2007

Sat. Sept. 15

Truth be told, we pretty much left our pot-smoking days behind after college. Stuff got too strong, too expensive and we realized it made us less enlightened, than dazed, confused, hungry and silly. But we'd still argue that it's caused much less pain than the very legal alcohol, is less addictive than tobacco and does provide a lot of people with a plesant little escape. (There's all those medical reasons, too.) MassCann is once again having its "Freedom Rally" on Boston Common Saturday Sept. 15 from noon-6 p.m. You'll hear a lot abot marijuana legalization and reform of the laws. And you'll hear a lot of music: Being a pro-pot musician didn't go out with the hippies, you know. On stage: Darkbuster (in photo), Township, Angeline, Three Day Threshold and more. (There's also a MassCann awards ceremony/gig at the Bulfinch Yacht Club the previous night, Sept. 14). Check the website for particulars.
