Brother Cleve and more at ZuZu! Print E-mail
Thursday, 31 January 2008

Thurs. Jan. 31

Brother Cleve, our favorite DJ who also happens to be an ex-Del Fuego and ex-Combustible Edison keyboardist and a urrent member of Dragonfly reports: I'm back in the USA just in time for cooler temperatures and streets full of U-Hauls and students. So come on out before all the new residents take over! I'll be back at ZuZu! - playing a mix of recent and vintage soul/funk/breaks, Latin soul and boogaloo, Brasil funk and Bollywood disco, groovy soundtracks and whatever else seems right, beginning at 10 PM." He's on Thursday Sept. 27. "'I'll be DJ'ing alongside The Beat Train for the premiere of  'The Mambo Beat Club." This is a presentation of Cheap Thrills a Go-Go. The Beat Train will be continuing his journey to help reinvent, redefine, and reinvigorate the mod movement. In the process he’ll be laying down your  weekly dose of floorshakin’ grooves, pulsating beats, luscious breaks, solid gold easy action, and savage raw soul satisfaction." Free.
