 We've explained in the past how little we know about make-up, but we should also say we like it very much on our fiancee, and we're a good enough listener to relate what Bobbi Brown (she's in the photo!) cosmetics maven Diane Halle told us about the event Neiman Marcus is having. It wraps up today Sunday Sept. 16. It's called "The Beauty Event," and 40-plus cosmetics counters - Orlane Paris, Revive Sisley, La Mere and others - will be offering gift bags with various purchases. (The NM website below should give you an idea of the range.) Here's what Halle told us about the Bobbi Brown gift deal. Spend $125 and you get "the Pink Rose Collection, which will consist of a full size rosy lipsheer - that's a sheer form of color that gives the lip a look of having just bitten fruit. We have a full size Rose Sugar Shimmer lip gloss and a mini Summer Pink pot rouge, a clean gel formula that imparts a natural glow to the skin. And we have a cement/smoke split pan eye shadow." All this, worth $80, comes in the free NM tote gag, in bronze or pewter. There will be a make-up artist around throughout, (The price of that varies, depending upon what you want done.)
