Prime Movers: Not Past Their Prime Print E-mail
Friday, 07 September 2007

Fri. Sept. 7

The Prime Movers were part of Boston's new wave scene of the '80s, drawing their pop-rock from English sources such as the Who and the Kinks. They haven't been with us for years, but are back now with a new album, "Back in Line," and a European tour lined up for this fall. And you can wish them "Bon Voyage" - that's French for "Enjoy Your Baguette!" - at the Basement at the Baseball Tavern Friday Sept. 7. The Movers, led by singer Cam Ackland, weren't at the top of the Boston scene in their heyday, but they were in the upper echelon. They're in the middle of a bill that's headlined by the Messe Me Ups. In descending order, Radio Knives, Prime Movers, Apple Betty and Killer Abs. Startst around 9. Tickets: $8.
