september 11 The one-day/$25 ticket promo the Huntington Theatre did for August Wilson’s “Radio Golf’’ was the theatre’s biggest day ever. Hmmm, maybe there’s interest out there in this, the final installment of Wilson’s ten-play cycle about African-American life through the 20th century. To stoke that interest more, the Huntington and Roxbury Community College are co-hosting a tribute to Wilson Monday Sept. 11 at 7:30 p.m. (The play itself runs Sept. 8-Oct. 15 at the Boston University Theatre.) This event features “Radio Golf’’ director Kenny Leon, Wilson’s wife and frequent collaborator/costume designer Constanza Romero, and members of the play’s cast. They and other local professional actors will perform monologues. “A Tribute to August Wilson’’ is hosted by WCVB-TV producer Karen Holmes Ward. It’s free.
