Wed. Sept. 12 In Africa, too, sometimes the apple falls not far from the tree. When she was 12, Dobet Gnahore told her father she didn't want to return to school but stay in the "vil lage." This did not mean she wanted to stay at home and do nothing. This village is Village Ki-Yi M'Bock, a unique artistic enclave. Her father, a founding member of the village, is a respected master drummer, singer and actor. So Dobet stayed and she's a singer with a multi-lingual album called "Na Afriki." She addresses pan-African social and political issues, raises hopes for a better future. She and her group perform a set of dance, poetry and song at the Museum of Fine Arts Remis Auditorium Wednesday Sept. 12 at 7:30. Tickets: $25-$20. 465 Huntington Ave., 617-267-93000 www.mfa.org
