Of George Lucas and a Wrecked Childhood Print E-mail
Friday, 10 August 2007

Fri. Aug. 10

"I got into a car wreck, totaled my girlfriend's car and spent a couple days in the hospital," says Iann Robinson, monologist and former MTV VJ/reporter. He's been her girlfriend for three weeks. Not good. But the show must go on and in that case it is spoken-word performance Robinson is giving at P.A.'s Lounge at 6:10 p.m. Friday August 10. The topic: "How George Lucas Raped My Childhood And Left Me For Dead." Now, being that we've had some trouble with Lucas's "Star Wars" machine-movies, we're intrigued. Of course, this may just be Robinson's jump off point or it may be an exegesis. The show starts at 5:30 and other speakers are Justin Habersaat and Jen Dzuria. Admission: $5.
