KT Tunstall Returns To a Very Small Space Print E-mail
Monday, 30 July 2007

Mon. July 30

KT - her real name is Katie, she thought KT sounded cooler like PJ Harvey - Tunstall has been a favorite in Boston long before "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" was played on every TV drama, every radio station and every chat show. Hey, it remains a cool song. Fact is, Tunstall - a former hippie from Scotland - deserved what she got when she scored with her platinum disc, "Eye to The Telescope." But there has been that qustion: What's next? (You see, Tunstall has been on tour so much, at the Hatch Shell here at the Live Earth concert in Jersey, clubs everywhere ... ) Well, the question will finally be answered Sept. 18 with "Drastic Fantasic" comes out. You, however, may get a sneak peek (listen?) to songs from the record at First Act Guitar Studio Monday July 30 at 11 a.m. (Yes, a.m.) The little guitar shop/studio on Boylston has gathered a rep for putting on some pretty cool acts and Tunstall - who first played there in November of 2005 - has to be one of the biggest. Nice of her to return too. See, some people don't forget who supported them in the beginning. So, she's back playing for, oh, 100 people or so. How the heck do you get in? Become friends with the sponsoring radio station WBOS and listen all the doo-dah day to win tickets. Get further details about this end at www.wbos.com or www.kttunstall.com Upside: Free show. Downside: You gotta be lucky or connnected.
