People who own restaurants are not stupid, though a lot of restaurants do go belly up every year and, what, 90 percent of them ultimately fail. But one thing those people all know is that Monday is a down day (and night). The work week has started and no one feels like even having a good time, let alone going out and paying for one. All anyone wants is David Caruso frowning through the TV tube on  "CSI: Miami.” So to draw the recalcitrant off the couch, L’Espalier has this ongoing good idea called “Wine Mondays” where you pay $50.  The wine is burgundy.
