Writers in Battle Royal! Hallelujah! Print E-mail
Friday, 20 April 2007

Fri. April 20

So-called reality TV has really taken a bite out of the real world. On TV, it's all about winners and losers and voters and these qualities have seeped out of the idiot box, which is not a bunch of reco into ... well clubland. On Friday, April 20, Great Scott is hosting the Bad Behavior Tour, which is not a bunch of reconstituted '80s metal bands, but three New York-based female authors, Jami Attenberg, Janice Earlbaum (in photo) and Wendey McClure. Respectively, their books are "Instant Love," "Girlbomb" and "I'm Not the New Me." Suffice to saucy, young novelists/memorists and they'll be reading passages from their books at the Allston club starting at 7. Then, it gets competitive when each author reads their most "scandalouse" excerpt. The judges? None other than the band the plays later, the very good Boston band Hallelujah the Hills. Interesting night. Admission: $5.
