Free Fenway Fun: Get lucky at Game On! Print E-mail
Monday, 18 August 2008

When I think of sitting atop the Green Monster I think the way I did when I spent time in the bleachers: Can't see that much from here, the angle's weird. (In photo, a view from the Monster into home plate.) But this is not a majority opinion, I conceed. The drovView from Fenway's Green Monsteres of new Fenway fans went ga-ga for Monster and, of course, they're now very difficult to find. Game On!, the local eatery/sports palace, that's making its bid to be the Sox fan's home away from Fenway is offering up a pair of tickets to each home game this year atop the big green wall. No skill involved. What you do; Go to Game On! during one of the Sox away games, dine, drink and watch the games on one (or all!) of the 80-plus Sony HD TV's placed virtually everywhere. Eventually, your bill will come. There might just be a "golden ticket" there entitling you to two Monster seats at an upcoming home game. It's got Willy Wonka written all over it, and it's kinda cute. Come in for a burger and a beer, walk out with passes. Granted, the odds aren't great but you bought Red Sox scratch tickets didn't you. I did. Don't get me started on that either ...
