If the New England Urban Music Awards don't ring an immediate bell, don't feel left behind. This year's event at Berklee Performance Center Saturday April 14 is just the second event. The idea? To salute talents in the R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz and Gospel music scene. This year, Surgee Ranking took five nominations, Lori Dow got 4 and getting 3 each weere Ahmir and Tashawn King, the latter of whom will also be peforming at the show. Also: Andre Ward, Urban Nutcracker, Mighty Mystic, Sonny Hazel Eyes and Omega Red. Your hosts are comic Corey Manning (in photo) and his girlfriend, actor/motivational speaker Andrea Baptiste. Starts at 6:30 p.m. Tickets: $40 and $30.
