Feasting on Flesh: Another Horrorshow from Mr. Cannibal Print E-mail
Friday, 13 April 2007

Fri. April 13

A genial fellow who goes by the name of J. Cannibal stages these things called "Feast of Flesh" every so often. We're not kidding about the genial part. He's a superb host, a member of the Black Cat Burlesque which will perform at this fourth Feast on Friday April 13. (Oooh!) What Cannibal offers: A screening of the cult film "Wild Zero," starring Japaense scuzz-rockers Guitar Wolf, where you'll see exploding heads, shooting flames and cries of "Rock and roll!" You'll get an opening performance by Beware!, a band that specializes in miniaturized versions of hardcore punk classics from back in the day by the Misfits, Black Flag and Suicidal Tendencies. Then, its Black Cat, with its sex-and-horror mix. The usual zombie contest will take place, including passes to see the new Tarrantino gore-fest, "Grindhouse." Starts at midnight. Tickets: $10. At (where else?) the Coolidge Corner Theatre.
