Beautify Yourself! Mix! Mingle! Print E-mail
Mar 22, 2007 at 12:00 AM

 Thurs. March 22

We'll state the obvious: We're not a girl. But we love the gender - one certain member in particular, our fiancee - and we know they love to shop, shop and shop some more for beauty-oriented products. Many of them don't mind a lovely cocktail now and again. And a whole lot of them like that combination. We know from experience, having gone to a Girls Night Out kind of event at WaterWorks in Quincy a few years back. It was not an unpleasant experience. There were the drinks; there was the fiancee and her eager pursuit of what was cool. There was the ambiance. If you want to stand out in a crowd, be a straight guy at a "Girls Night Out." No, you're not forbidden. Now, if you're female and have read this far, we know you don't much care about what boys think - we only wrote it to entice them to join you! You know that shopping 75 designers (and saving up to 75 percent off), enjoying complimentary cocktails, relaxing in the Revlon beauty bar, and taking home a goodie bag worth about $100 adds up to fun, fun, fun. The two-day event, put on by shecky's magazine and events website, wraps up tonight, Thursday (the 22nd). "Shecky's Girls Night Out" takes place at Boston Center for the Arts (see beauty is an art, too) at Cyclorama. Admission: $30.
