Understanding the only brain you've got Print E-mail
Saturday, 10 February 2007

Sat. Feb. 10

We'd make a joke about the lecture "Staying Sharp: Current Advances in Brain Research" except  ... wait, what were we writing about? Oh, yes, the brain, specifically, the brain's fitness and memory loss. Look, we admit it, we've lost some brain cells (and sometimes our car keys) along the journey. Everyone jokes about having an "Alzheimer's moment," and everyone's terrified if it happens to a friend or relative or fears it happening to themselves. And, as the world gets more fast-paced every day, we find ourselves juggling way too many things, and, occasionally, dropping a ball. Angers us, frustrates us. Which is why this lecture at the Marriott Boston Newton Saturday Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. may not be a bad idea at all. Dr's Joseph T. Coyle, Cornelia cremens, Reisa Sperling, David A. Drachman join moderator Dr. Annette Norsman for a talk on keeping mentally sharp, figuring out what memory loss is normal and what isn't, coping with depression and mood swings and developing your brain as you age. If you're a Baby Boomer, you're reading this and wondering. Free, but space is limited, so call for tickets.
