Wed. Jan. 24 It’s a multi-media age we live in and yet that world is often broken down and partitioned off into music clubs, art galleries, museums, theatres and the like. Some folks are trying to mix up the media. One such group is Mus-Art, which is staging its first event at Felt Wednesday Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. "We’re calling it Mus-Art because it’s a coming of music and art together," says event-marketing gal Ashley Horton, of Anthem Entertainment. But that's not all folks! "Also," she adds, "poets will be involved as well. It is audio with music and poetry. Some of the musicians will be performing while artwork is on display – all intertwined. We're hoping to draw about 100 people." Does this ecelctic audience exist? Can it grow? "I have definitely encountered people that cross over. I appreciate all aspects of it. If you go for music, you can apprecicate the art as well. We're hoping to use other galleries to do this on a monthly basis." Just so you'll know: Horton says the music will not be blaring and in-your-face. "It's more laid-back, more acoustic, softer." Musicians include: Jeff Savlon, Ian Franklin-Wilkerson and Singuya. Poets include: Sasha Grossman, Dustin Flannery-McCoy, Sarah Hannah and Theresa Ohanian. Artists include: Melissa Miller, Vicky Kitts, Lucy MacRobert and Jack Morefield. Tickets: $7. 533 Washington St., 617-350-5555 feltboston.com
