It's starting to feel a little bit like winter - it's supposed to be single digit time on Thursday Jan. 18 - so you may feel like ice skating. Or drinking. Or eating hors d'oeuvres. Or all three. You can put 'em all together at the Charles Hotel's rink at an event called "On Ice at the Charles Hotel." It's from 6-9 p.m. Now, it'll cost you $75, which may or may not seem steep - you can do the skate part on the Frog Pond on the Public Garden, after all - but do realize that it's a benefit for the Greater Boston Food Bank. So, you can feel like a well-fed, slightly tipsy Brian Boitano and feel good about yourself, too.
