Hey, he used that old "ba-da bing'' line way before "The Sopranos" checked in and appropriated it. Dom Irrera looks like he's been beaten down by life. It may not be the look you want to project to your public, but if you're a veteran standup comedian - one who's experienced success and failure - it can work.

Irrera is at the Comedy Connection on Aug. 11 and 12. The Friday shows, 8 and 10:15 p.m., will cost you $25 and the Saturday shows, same times, will run $28.
