Fri. Sept. 14 IF you're in the mood for Norah Jones, well, sorry she's not around town at the moment. But Leah Randazzo is and she and her band are making waves on the local jazz/R&B scene. A sextet, they formed in the spring of 2005 and have been pl aying shows opening for Judy Collins. Leah's Group recently copped a "Best Jazz" award for western Massachusetts in the Valley Advocate. What you'll get is some soft, sexy music and some uptempo dance material punctuated with sharp horns. Her album, "At the Root," was produced by Michael Gregory, long known in the Boston community for his taste in all things jazz and R&B. Randozzo plays The Loft @ Tommy Doyle's at 9:00 pm. No cover. (Tommy's is in the space occupied by the former House of Blues.) 96 Winthrop St., Harvard Square, Cambridge, 617-864-1311 www.myspace.com/tommydoyles www.myspace.com/leahrandazzogroup
