Fri. Dec. 15

The Huntington Theatre had such a hit when they did this with August Wilson's "Radio Golf" last summer they decided to do it again vis-a-vis "The Cherry Orchard," which opens for previews Jan. 5. What the Huntington is doing is selling $25 tickets on Fri. Dec. 15 beginning at 9 a.m. at the on-line addresses below or at the BU Theatre or Calderwood Pavilion (addresses also below) at noon. You can phone in for tickets, too, starting at noon, using the number below. So pick your mode of attack and get to the computer, the street or the phone. There are four preview performances you may purchase tickets to. The play, by witty, but philosophical play by Anton Chekhov. stars Kate Burton and is directed by Nicholas Martin. Note: When they first did this, the Huntington had its hightest single day ticket sale - 1470.

B.U. Theatre, 264 Huntington St., 617-266-0800 huntingtontheatre.org or bostontheatrescene.com, Calderwood Pavilion, 527 Tremont St.
