22 Brides on Hiatus; Libby Johnson on the Road Print E-mail
Thursday, 14 December 2006

Thurs. Dec. 14

Libby Johnson started playing jazz piano in New York City bars, but then formed a folk-rock group with her siser Carrie called 22 Brides. The Brides, which have made three CDs for Zero Hour/Universal, have been left behind - not jilted, though! - and Libby brings her bluesy, smart and soulful singing and smart, fluid guitar playing" to the Alchemist Lounge Thurs. Dec. 14. Other tidbits: Six of her songs are in the film  "Trust the Man," out on DVD Feb 6. Also, she'll appear on XM Radio's XM Cafe Jan. 15. At the Alchemist in J.P. it's no cover, like always.  She's on at 10 p.m.
