Jake's Dixie Roadhouse: Turning Japanese Print E-mail
Thursday, 14 December 2006

Thurs. Dec. 14

Jake's Dixie Roadhouse is always cookin' up something, promotionally speaking. (Well, gastronomically as well.) Thursday Dec. 14 is D-Day or Daisuke Decision Day. What they mean at Jake's is that it's the final allowable day of negotiations between Red Sox GM Theo Epstein and Japanese ultra-hurler Daisuke Matsuzaka and to celebrate (or not) Jake's is offering free Fenway franks (steamed in sake and served with Daikon relish and Wasabi), Kirin beer, Yakitori, teriyaki wings and a Gekkeikan sake tasting party. Jake's takes a break from its Real Rockin' Southern BBQ for a night. Aside from free franks, everything else you eat should run you under a ten spot.
