Sat. Oct. 20 This just in from one of our favorite Boston art-rockers, Peter Moore (in photo) ex-Think Tree, Count Zero, etc. "Charles Hansen asked me to add some lead vocals & keys to his band The Handymen, with Chris Bl ue, Chris Cote, Jim Haggerty, Jim Janota, even though my name is neither Chris nor Jim." (These Handymen include some Rock Bottom/Upper Crusties.) "Typically," Moore continues, "he concocts a genre-specific set of covers, sends the list to the band members, then they play a unrehearsed show. Watch us try our best to avoid train-wrecking your favorite classic '0's glam (Bowie, T Rex, etc.) this Saturday night Oct. 20 at the Plough & Stars. We have been asked to dress up. Will it be too much for the Plough? Who cares?" It should be fun." Band on at 10. Cover: TBA. 912 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, 617-576-0032 www.ploughandstars.com
