Beatles For Sale: AG Rejiggers at Club Passim Print E-mail
Oct 03, 2012 at 12:00 AM

Wed. Oct. 3

There are six Beatles songs that Sony evidently does not own and AG is making them her own. AG, an out-and-about dyke singer-songwriter, has been part of the Rescues, but she's doinAGg a tour under her own name (well, initials, her name is Adrianne Gonzalez - and no, no relation to the Red Sox former first baseman and ineffectual slugger) that stops at Club Passim Wednesday Oct. 3 and it's in part to promote those Beatles songs (done sorta like Feist, mostly sad, with obvious gender switch implications) "I Wanna Be Your Man," "She Loves You," "I Saw Her Standing There," "From Me to You," "Misery" and "There's a Place." - http://soundcloud.com/jillian-eipr/ag-i-wanna-be-your-man They're quite beautiful, nothing really tongue in cheek or nod-nod, wink-wink. It's from an upcoming EP. AG's playing with her pals Maia Sharp and Garrison Starr and they perform their songs as well as serving as the backing band. Oh, AG's also a painter and visual artist and these aspects are expected to factor into the show, too.
Starts at 8, tix are $18 day of/$16 advance.
