Wed. Nov. 29

Believe it or not boys and girls, there was a time when sports and music were not intertwined and packaged as "entertainment." Sure, the organist played at baseball games, now and then, but once upon a time the game was the thing and that was all there was. Not anymore. We live in a multi-media, multi-tasking world now - we're bombarded at football, baseball and basketball games during any bit of downtime and various acts play the venues, too. The Boston Celtics are taking advantage of that synchronicity by presenting three post-game concerts this season. The first takes place Wednesday Nov. 29 after the Celtics-Nets game at the TD Banknorth Garden. It features R&B/rap artist Akon, who just released his second CD, "Konvicted." The first single, "Smack That," features the ever-engaging Eminem and zoomed up the charts. Tickets to the ballgame/concert start at $10 and go up as high as ... well, many digits. Game at 7 p.m.
