On being Tom Brady: Charles P. Pierce tells us how it is Print E-mail
Wednesday, 15 November 2006

Nov. 15

Tom Brady - we'd have to say - has it as good as it gets. Young, handsome, three Super Bowl rings, dated Tara Reid. Sounds like someone people might want to read about and my former colleague at the Boston Globe, Charlie Pierce, is a smart guy, a prolific writer and well-versed in things sports and non-sports. He's also talkative. Which means when he discusses his new book, "Moving the Chains: Tom Brady and the Pursuit of Everything" twice today he will have no problem with fatigue. He'll be pumped. Pierce starts at Borders Books at 12:30 p.m. (free) and closes with a 7:30 chat sponsored by Newtonville Books. (Also free) It's part of the store's Books & Brews series, where Pierce and his new pals do their thing down the road at the Attic. (Bigger space and the offer of a free drink and appetizers.)
