Monday Nov. 27 The martini - which my late father had two of every Thursday night out - had a spectacular comeback during the '90s, ushered in by the ever-suave lounge band Combustible Edison and the revival of the Rat Pack. And, it's latched on. It feels, sounds, tastes so sophisticated - and really packs a wallop. The Living Room is offering martini specials on Mondays, where you can drink normally priced martinis - ranging from $10-$12.50 - but get a free consultation from a mystic. This would be Helen or Natasha from Angel's Crystals and Auras. "My son has gone in and he was amazed," says Living Room owner John Hauck. "And there's been a wait list written on legal pads outside." On a Monday? Well, in general, the guys come for Monday Night Football and the gals come for the mystics. And martinis provide the bonding glue. It's called "Mystics and Martinis on Mondays." Runs from 8-11. 101 Atlantic Ave., 617-723-5101 thelivingroomboston.com
