Nov. 3-5 The last time we saw Michael J. Peluso he was a judge in the play "Sexuality in the City," on the receiving end of some naughty sex. This time, he's dishing it out, so to speak. Peluso is playing Valmont, the amoral cad in "Les Liasons Dangereuses" at the Sorenson Center for the Arts at Babson College Nov. 3-5. "It's a once in a lifetime chance," says Peluso. "The interesting part is every performance, you have to find somethng in him to like. If you don't like him, you won't care when he dies in the end. You have to care about him at the end because there is a change. He does fall in love, where he realizes he's been following a path of deception all his life." Of course, Peluso - who's a Peabody firefighter by day - relishes the role. "He will sleep with every woman in the world," Peluso says. "You get to be someone you wouldn't normally be, someone completely self-centered without regard for anyone." Peluso has played conflicted sorts before including Judas Iscariot in "Jesus Christ Superstar" and John Proctor in "The Crucible." Oh, and how do his firefighter mates react to his other gig? "They get a kick out of it," he says. Firefighting is real life, with real danger. "This," says Peluso, "is fantasy-land." (A beefcake-y sorta guy, Peluso is also featured in n the "Guys for Eyes" 2007 charity calendar.) Shows Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets: $19.
