Wed. Nov. 8

Amy Rigby didn't take the world by storm ten years ago when she released "Diary of a Mod Housewife," but she took a small corner of it. Salon.com called the work "12, perfect unpretentious songs ... as liberating as the first Pretenders record was, voicing womanly concerns with no punches pulled. This is a record that feels so lived in, it hurts." Well, Rigby has lived with it for a decade - releasing five more solo albums and an anthology in the process - and she's celebrating that mod era by performing the album in its entirety at Johnny D's Wed. Nov. 8. It's not retro night. She'll do that and follow with a set of new material. Opening are Sue Garner & Angel Dean (ex of Last Roundup), both of whom sang on "Diary." Show starts at 8:30. Tickets: $10
