Have Guitar? Travel, Not Far, Be a Movie Star Print E-mail
Mar 23, 2010 at 12:00 AM

Tues. March 23 & Wed. March 24

Making money as a musician on the local level is always a dicey proposition, but Boston Casting is looking for one guy - they do say guy - 18-30 of "any ethnicity" who must be "ool, good looking hipsters." What kind of guys? "We are looking  for guys who have  a unique guitar and personal  style. Guitar style examples - Metal, Blues, Country, Funk, Punk, Bluegrass, etc....must be able to play well and all day, and also have an outgoing and natural personality talking to people." What the hell is this for? Not sure. But there's on rehearsal Friday March 26 and live events Saturday and Sunday March 27 and 28. The open casting call Tuesday March 23 is 1-5 p.m. and Wed.  March 24 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Um, bring your guitar, photo and press kig. Be ready to play your favorite songs. That's all we can really tell you about this blind alley/opportunity, 'cept that it pays $1500 and that's not bad for three days of musicianly work.
