Concord Ballet Orchestra Players at T.T.'s PDF Print E-mail
Jan 28, 2010 at 12:00 AM

Wed. Jan. 27

"It's kind of amazing the way things work out," reports WMBR DJ and musician Jeff Breeze, who's part of the Concord Ballet Orchestra Players and playing T.T. the Bear's Wed. Jan. 27. "We made our decade debut (and NYC debut) in Brooklyn a few weeks ago at the Issue Project Room. Even more amazing was the fact that we filled up the room enough so that our transportation expenses in getting there and back were covered. ... Now as we've got Super Bowl teams decided and the month of Januaryis closing out, CBOP is making our Boston area 2010 debut at T.T.'s sharing the evening with Concort Ballet Orchestra Players28 Degrees Taurus, Arms and Sleepers, and Atlas Ladder(ne Caspian), if the late hours of rock clubbing usually wear you out, the schedule has us hitting the stage right at 9 p.m.
"Sitting in a van together all the way to New York and back brought up all sorts of ideas for us to consider, and we'll try to see which of these we can implement in our half hour long set. Odds are good that ideas to be totally expansive and play a three hour set will be put on hold until we find someone with a loft or gallery to host us. However, we may get closer to actually performing a cover song or two with the preparation that we all have the song on our iPod at least a day in advance. The crystal ball is seeing seven folks on stage and at least twice as many instruments as that. In truth we'll probably only bring out a few new bells and whistles, but hey, we've got the entire decade to get to it all... Tickets to the show: $8, Concord Ballet site: www.myspace.com/cbop.
