Sat. Oct. 31 Halloween does fall on a Saturday night this year, which is music to the ears and money to the cash register for all the clubs and restaurants who really like it when holiday celebrations coincide with the usual weekend celebrations, making virtually everyone feel they oughta be out doing something. And since Halloween is the officially sanctioned time to go kind of nuts - everywhere except Michael Dukakis' house - you are granted permission to get all ghosted or ghouled up and stagger about. Are you drunk? Or are you walking like a zombie? Only the Breathalyzer knows for sure. Tip: Don't freakin' drive. If you're drunk that's a no-brainer, and if you're in costume, do you really want to seriously talk to a cop in your vampire costume or George W. Bush mask. All said, consider Vox Populi's 7th annual Halloween Bash called "Ghouls and Goblins Galore." Get all dolled up and do get a snap shot of your costume with Vox’s instant photobooth upstairs and walk home with $1000 for best costume. Get your tarot cards read and see what the night has in store for you as Vox’s spooky servers - are they Manson girls? - keep the chilling cocktails flowing and the hors d’oeuvres coming all night long. This starts at 6:30 and goes 'til one. Costs $20 to get in. 755 Boylston St., 617-424-8300 www.voxboston.com
