Fridays and Saturdays in February 

How the dismal month of February got chosen as the month we'd have Valentine's Day I do not know. I do know the creators of greeting cards created the holiday, in one of the canniest marketing moves ever. Maybe, that's why it's Feb. 14: This month sucks, let's make it about love (and greeting cards, and dinners out and all the rest.) The Atlantic Works Gallery is making it about art. That's what galleries do. The show, called "Throb," showcases art inspired by the themes of love and sex as represented by the gallery members. It's open 2-6 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, free. And, oh, by appointment.
