Sun. Dec. 7 We try to mix it up here at JSInk and longtime readers may find us favoring the underground or the outre. Guilty. Then again, we're in the heart of the most traditional tim e of the year and we're not against tradition. Heck, we enthusiastically endorsed The Who's last Garden show and they're as on-going a tradition as rock has. So, let's put word out for Boston's longest-running holiday tradition - 155 years running, longer the The Who - which is Handel's Messiah, up at Symphony and wrapping up today, Sunday Dec. 7 at 3 p.m. The Handel and Haydn Society Chorus and Period-Instrument Orchestra features acclaimed operaconductor Paul Daniel. Returning soloists Kendra Colton (soprano),Paula Murrihy (mezzo-soprano), and Brett Polegato (baritone) join Brian Stucki (tenor) in his Handel and Haydn Society debut. Note: H & H started in 1815, roughly three decades before The Who. Tickets: $49-$25. 301 Massachusetts Ave., 617-266-3605 www.handelandhaydn.org
