Modern burlesque continues to thrive in Beantown and the Boston Babydolls do their best for the cause at Church, Wed. July 22. You''ll enjoy the ministrations of regulars like Miss Mina, who promises to put spice in your cider, the six-foot tall Betty Boston BabydollsBlazie who combines burlesque and showgirl traditions along with Joy de Vie, a newcomter who is a contortionist, aerialist and singer, Ruby von Vaughn Vaughn, billed as an "educated ecdysiast" (ecdysiast is a synonymn for stripper, but a classier word) and the latest member to join the troupe, Dainty Melons, whose metier you might be albe to glean from her moniker. The Babydolls major Domo, Mr. Scratch, has a mission statement: "To recreate a golden age of burlesque that never really existed." Music: TBA  Starts at 8. Tickets are $5.
