Thurs. Nov. 13 A treasure hunt to support the arts? Why not? It's a new world out there and combining - mixing, shuffling, upending - experiences and expectations to raise funds can be smart. An d so it goes for the Twelfth Annual Boston International Fine Arts Show gala preview to Benefit Boston Symphony Orchestra at the Boston Center for the Arts and Cyclorama Friday Nov. 13. Guests attending the Gala Preview (very first look/mix and mingle with the BSO/VIP reception at 5:30, $250; 6:30-9:30, $100) will enjoy fine food and wine, festive music, and the first look at the dazzling array of both traditional and contemporary fine art presented by 40 outstanding galleries from the United States, Europe and Canada. And, yes, an on-site treasure hunt! It's hosted by the BSO. During this hunt participating guests will search out answers to five questions about the galleries or exhibits. In the treasure hunt, participants are searching for the answers to questions related to artists and galleries at the event. Only those who participate in the treasure hunt can enter to win the Pops tickets. After completing the treasure hunt, the guests can visit the BSO information table to be entered to win a Boston Pops table of five for New Year’s Eve or Opening Night at Pops in the spring. If you're not up for the festivities or opening night expenses, the exhibit is up through Monday Nov. 16.The gala ticket includes re-admission to the event throughout the weekend. Approximately 250-300 people are expected.
